TOUR OVERVIEW – We pick you up where you’re staying.
AVAILABILITY: If you’re looking to see Antelope Canyon in March and April, it’s completely booked out. May is filling fast, and I’ve been told that June, July and August are going to be sold out VERY SOON.
NOTICE:
- The Navajo Nation REQUIRES MASKS for all Guests; vaccinated or not. PLEASE BRING A MASK.
- The Navajo Nation is limiting tours to 75%.
- Tickets are, first come, first serve.
How does this affect your tour? In the past you would select your tickets during checkout (still do) and we would book your Antelope Canyon tour @ the ideal time. We can no longer book a specific time. This can/will make your tour a bit less organized. While we do our best to make sure everything flows smoothly, there might be a bit of running around to maximize your day.
EXAMPLE: On the morning of Day #2 we may drop off your group at Horseshoe Bend, while we head to Antelope Canyon to purchase your tickets. We might be able to pick the ideal time, do to the above Covid restrictions. This could lead to having lunch a bit later/earlier than normal.
IMPORTANT: In mixed group tours you’ll waste 1 hour picking up other Guests from multiple resorts. You’ll spend the same hour dropping them off. Our tours are 100% private. Just your family/group. We’ll take that extra time and see more sights; maximizing your adventure.
Sedona and the Grand Canyon National Park
You’ll head North into Arizona’s high country, watching as the desert is left behind. In less than an hour, the expansive grasslands begin to dominate the landscape. Arizona is rare in that we have three (3) very distinct Climates/Ecosystems, and you’ll see all three (3) as you travel up onto the high plateau.
SEDONA – We suggest you stop at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. The Chapel was built in the 1950’s and is built right into the red rock. “Bell Rock” and “Cathedral Rock” formations can easily be seen from the Chapel, making for incredible photo opportunity for you and your family.
You’ll exit Sedona on historic Highway 89A up through the Oak Creek Canyon. This part of the tour is slow going, with 15 MPH switchbacks, as we climb up onto the Mogollon Rim. At over 7,000 feet, you’ll agree that the views from the top are AMAZING..!
SEDONA BYPASS – Do you want to bypass Sedona and go straight to the Grand Canyon? Of course, you’re 100% in charge. By heading straight to the Grand Canyon you’ll save 2hrs in travel time. With all that extra time, start your adventure with an easy walk along the rim of the Grand Canyon. The “Rim Trail” is paved and slightly downhill; ending at the historic El Tovar hotel. We make it easy, and the view you’ll get from the path is breathtaking!
GRAND CANYON – You’ll arrive around 12PM (10:30AM if you bypass Sedona). Just in time for lunch at the El Tovar Historic Hotel. Lunch is first come, first serve (not included).
After lunch we suggest you spend a few minutes exploring the nearby lookouts, Museum’s (Yavapai, Kolb Studio), and historic buildings. There’s a lot to see within walking distance of the hotel.
REMOTE OVERLOOKS – The further away from the Grand Canyon Village we go, the thinner the crowds. We’ll get you into the smaller, more remote overlooks, where the Canyon truly comes to life. At every stop the Colorado River becomes more visible. Only from these remote overlooks will you see the Canyon in all its glory.
OVERNIGHT – PAGE, AZ
Hotel – When you book your tour, you’ll have room options during checkout. We work exclusively with National Brand Hotel chains.
Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon
Walking through the sandstone walls of the Upper Antelope Canyon you will discover the magical world and immerse yourself in our fully-guided Sightseer’s Tour. Take pictures, learn about the canyon and the local area, you’re in for an awesome experience at the Antelope Canyon. Lower Antelope Canyon is just as amazing, but requires climbing ladders and rock faces. Often, the Lower Canyon is less crowded.
Antelope Canyon Walking Tour
NOTE: You’ll have Antelope Canyon ticket options during the checkout process.
We’ll take care of your reservations. Antelope Canyon is located on the Navajo Indian Reservation, and they have complete control of the tours inside the canyon.
AVAILABILITY: There are about 7.5 billion people on the planet, and many want to visit Antelope Canyon between the months of April and October. We will do our best to make your reservation, but if it’s within 2 weeks of your requested tour date, it may prove difficult. If we have issues, we’ll keep you apprised.
Upper Antelope Canyon – The upper canyon is flat, and requires no climbing.
Lower Antelope Canyon – The lower canyon requires climbing. In order to move through the canyon, you’ll be asked to climb ladders, stairs and step-ups.
Horseshoe Bend – NO FEE
Depending on when you’re able to secure your reservation in Antelope Canyon, we’ll see Horseshoe Bend. There is no fee to see the Canyon, but it does require an easy 2 mile hike round trip. If you’re in moderate physical shape, you shouldn’t have any issues. There are plenty of places to stop, sit, drink some water and relax.
Private vs Group Tour - The Advantages of going Private.
It’s going to be hard for you to not have a great time on your Private Tours. Simply, you’re in charge. We can change things at a moments notice, ensuring you and your group/family have an AMAZING TIME!
