Hotel & Resort Recommendations

Like you, when looking for a Resort or Hotel we head to one of the HUGE online reservation companies like Expedia or TripAdvisor.  We’ll read the reviews, try to figure out if it’s a good fit and hope when we get there that we made the right choice.

If we’re lucky, someone we know may have stayed there before, lessening the guesswork.

Reviews often don’t tell the whole story.  Reviews often focus likes and dislikes, not the overall theme of the resort.  We wanted to change that.

We don’t get anything from the listed resorts.

BELOW we’ve picked 5 Resorts/Hotels that best fit these 5 critical themes.

Awesome for Children

Arizona Grand Hotel and Spa

Awesome for Children – Arizona Grand Resort and Spa  (link to their website)

If you’re children (and you) enjoy romping around in the water, exploring, and LOVE water slides, NOTHING in Arizona comes close to the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.

South Mountain Park is within walking distance, and offers miles and miles of incredible hiking trails.  If you’re up to it, you can hike to the top, which offers views of the Phoenix Valley found nowhere else.

NOTE:  Many of the slides and water features are shut down in the Winter, and reopens March 1st.
